The Greater China Culture Global Association (GCCGA), a non-profit organization, was established in Hong Kong in 2005. It aims at promoting Chinese culture to the world. Courses and activities related to Chinese culture are regularly organized for overseas Chinese to enable them to further understand their own culture and to reinforce their loyalty to it, and to foster cultural bonds among them. The association also aims at propagating Chinese culture to other nations to promote exchange among different cultures.

  • To make Hong Kong the headquarters of GCCGA, and to set up branches around the world to promote Chinese culture within local communities overseas;
  • To set up Greater China Culture Centers around the world to organize courses, training, workshops, seminars, meetings and exhibitions related to Chinese language (including Putonghua and other dialects) and Chinese culture;
  • To recommend quality Chinese language textbooks to readers and establish local libraries and resources centers consisting mainly of Chinese books;
  • To cooperate with educational institutions in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao to select and send quality Chinese teachers around the world to teach Chinese language and culture;
  • To establish friendly relationships with different consulates around the world to serve as an information portal for overseas Chinese and to offer advice on how to promote Chinese culture in local communities overseas;
  • To provide opportunities for teachers and professionals related to the fields of Chinese language and culture to communicate and share their knowledge with one another.
